The Sub Base |
|
The sub base is the most important part of any driveway or an area that will be taking heavy traffic. We install at least 100mm
of type 1 aggregate on top of a permiable membrane which allows water through but prevents weed growth,this is then rolled and wacked to form a solid base.

Laying the stabilising Plates
|
|
Once the base hase been layed a 10-20mm layer sharpe sand is used to level out and small discrepancies in the sub base.
Now the stabilising plates can be layed out and clipped together
cut to suite any corners or drains and fill with 10-20mm of gravel, you new driveway is now ready for you to use.

The Cladwinds stabilising plates are a semi open paving structure with a size of 400mm x 600mm and only 45mm high they easily intergrate with existing paving.Can take loads of upto 560 tonnes per m2 when filled with gravel. The gravel will now stay in place even with cars turning.
